The core mission of the District 86 Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is to promote good communication and cooperative working relationships among the community, school and home.
The group works to enrich the educational experience of all District 86 students through a wide-range of wonderful school-based programs that are implemented by dedicated parent volunteers and financed largely by dues-paying PTA member families.
PTA membership is only $7 per person and includes one 2016-17 printed Student Directory that supplies class lists, names and addresses for Union Ridge students.
Annual PTA membership dues can be paid for along with school fees by check, or credit card through the District 86 office or online.
Becoming a member does not require further time or monetary commitment. However, if you would like to become more involved, you will find information about PTA meetings and volunteer opportunities in the school e-newsletter.
Your participation is welcome at any level, whether it be simply attending an PTA meeting, taking on an committee position, or helping out at an PTA sponsored school event. The success of the PTA relies on the consistent and enthusiastic support and involvement of District 86 parents.
